INT'L CUSTOMERS;  Unless your order's >$400 or has at least one item explicitly stating "includes EMS express mail", free tracking is NOT included-you must optionally elect to purchase it (if you want it).  Service ranges 7-90 days and there's absolutely no way to find out what's going on.

We'll happily accept small orders from all over earth, however...

PURCHASE WITHOUT TRACKING = YOU ASSUME ALL RISK OF LOSS

We've no option to add any tracking to regular 1st class int'l mail (domestic packages now get this for free).
So far (>7000 att. @ this writing), overall risk of disappearance is ~0.46%, with Western Europe/Great Britain/Canada closer to ~0.2% and Australia/New Zealand thus far perfect with well over 1000 combined attempts.

I can't offer Registered Mail anymore-it takes too long hand-writing 3 forms, sealing a box with water-activated tape, and queueing up at the post office...time's just too valued.  We instead offer to partially subsidize EMS Express Mail's high cost, which is always a minimum of $38(and moves up based on a weight in a jiffy!).
The option buys speed & safety, but only you can decide if it is worth it to you.  Minimum order value of $100 to elect this option.

Double (& Single) Edge Razor Blades

The Superior Shave Home Page

My goodness, there's only about a billion brands of DE razor blades available today (add yet another maker tomorrow) ; you think wet shaving's catching on a bit?

To look at various blades at ~20x microscope magnification is to be astounded by the differences in their bevel profiles.  Even within one manufacturer, some cheaper brands are all over the map from blade to blade at magnifications as low as 10x.  That can't be good for faces.  If you enjoy owning multiple safety razors, try each blade in each razor at least once, as they do affect one another.

The Sampler Pack

SAMPLER PACK:  The minimum commitment of each brand; 1 pack each of Dorco ST-301, Derby, Feather, Merkur, Astra Superior Platinum, 7AM Platinum Hi Stainless, and Sharp for 50 blades in total.  Were I starting all over in wet shaving, I'd start with the 7AM and Sharp, move along to Dorco and Derby, then Merkur, and finally Astra and Feather.

Derby DE blades

Derby:  An excellent blade from Turkey that's highly regarded by nearly anyone you'd ask, the "chromium-ceramic-platinum-tungsten and polymer coated edges" Derbys are like the Walter Payton of the double edge blade universe; not superlative in any one element, just damn good at all of 'em.  Plenty sharp, smooth, consistent, durable, and sensibly packaged...the Derby does it all, for not too much dough.  Numbered on the edges; you can face a different # through 4 shaves.

Dorco ST-301 Double Edge Razor Blades

Dorco ST-301:  So good, so cheap.  These South Korean blades are a tremendous value, terrifically consistent and known to be quite sharp (not Feather sharp) but also forgiving.  A great choice for a newbie's first blade, and the head shaver set gives them high praise for never cutting the dome when coupled with mild razors like Gillette's Super Speed.  ST-301s come in plastic packs of 10, each blade wrapped in wax paper and a space for used blades.  The only difference in Dorco ST-300 & ST-301, according to Dorco themselves, is the packaging (ST-300s are individually wrapped in plain paper w/ soft outer packaging).

Feather Double Edge Blades

Feather "New Hi-STAINLESS":  These blades from Japan, quite expensive as double-edge blades go, are fairly universally accepted as earth's sharpest.  The epitome of consistency (in their initial performance), they require, as their name implies, a super-soft touch.  These aren't for beginners; properly executed you'll get astounding shaving results, but it is easy to cut yourself with them (and hardly know it).  While I enjoy the Feathers in my milder razors or in my Futur dialed down to conservative settings, others actually swear by them in the Merkur Slant-about as aggressive a razor as exists.  Those users must have coarse hairs!  Feathers are sold in plastic packs of 10, with each blade wrapped in wax paper and a space on the bottom for the used blades.

Merkur DE blades

There's a lot of things to like about Merkur's quite costly German-made blades, but their price isn't one of them.  Swallow that bitter pill down, though, and you're left with a blade with remarkable blade-to-blade consistency, consistent performance throughout each sample's lifespan, the highest durability on the market, and generally a more difficult time to cut yourself with it than with other makes.  It doesn't have the biting sharpness of an Astra nor a Feather's remarkable lack of friction during use, but from a Merkur I easily get 6+ great shaves from them feeling much the same, and the blade seems to abruptly drop off a "performance cliff" when compromised, actually a very good thing.  I always travel with my collapsing Merkur razor, and if carrying on I'll try and sneak a single Merkur blade through the airport scanner so I'll be set for a 6-shave journey; now they usually bust me and I act surprised and have the nuisance of finding some generic DE blades at my destination, but it is worth a shot and still works occasionally.  I find Merkur blades to be a terrific outlier in the DE blade world-damned expensive compared among any other DE blades, but still inexpensive per shave versus replaceable cartridge systems.

WE WILL NOT PROCESS AN ORDER SUBMITTED FOR 1 PACKAGE OF THESE BLADES.  I'm sorry, but I can't do this anymore.

Astra Superior Platinum

Astra Superior Platinum:  A modestly-packaged Russian blade known for both longevity and sharpness, Astra Superior Platinums are definitely more aggressive than most cheaper stuff, indeed really only bested by the Feathers in terms of sharpness.  They're certainly not to be thought of as a mild blade, nor as a hyper-smooth one, but if you value sharpness and don't have terribly sensitive skin you'll have a good chance of digging on the Astras.  Astras are quite capable of great closeness.  Plain paper packaging, with plain paper wrapping and a wax innard, with the 1-2-3-4 writing on the blades.

7AM Platinum

7AM Platinum Hi Stainless:  (the green ones)
Well they can't get more modest manufacturing than one of the very poorest countries on this planet (Bangladesh), but there are those out there who like 'em so we'll keep them on offer.   Expect only a couple of shaves, but you may be lucky enough to get 3-4.
Plain paper packs with plain paper wrapping and a wax innard, with the 1-2-3-4 writing on the blades.

Sharp Stainless

Sharp Stainless:  Another of the Bangladesh blades, but the Sharps are actually very well respected despite their humble roots.   The rap on the Sharps is they fall of a quick cliff, but before they do they're certainly awesome performers for the vast majority of users.  Plain paper packs with plain paper wrapping and a wax innard, with the 1-2-3-4 writing on the blades.  I'm glad I finally tried them, and was wrong to pooh-pooh them for their country of origin.  They're undoubtedly a great blade for a brief time for me.
