We've no option to add any tracking to regular 1st class int'l mail (domestic packages now get this for free).
So far (>7000 att. @ this writing), overall risk of disappearance is ~0.46%, with Western Europe/Great Britain/Canada closer to ~0.2% and Australia/New Zealand thus far perfect with well over 1000 combined attempts.
I can't offer Registered Mail anymore-it takes too long hand-writing 3 forms, sealing a box with water-activated tape, and queueing up at the post office...time's just too valued. We instead offer to partially subsidize EMS Express Mail's high cost, which is always a minimum of $38(and moves up based on a weight in a jiffy!).
The option buys speed & safety, but only you can decide if it is worth it to you. Minimum order value of $100 to elect this option.

The Mühle R89 Grande, new in 2012, costs much more than its nearest Merkur equivalent, the 38C, but has superior workmanship and incredible quality upon its chrome plating. In particular, the level of smoothness upon the comb guard and the top of the head are beyond reproach, and many, many users literally claim they can feel this difference upon their face during the shave. All of the Mühle 3-piece razors we sell, with the exception of the open-comb R41, share the same head. Yes, the head of the "Grande" seems the same as the head of the 'regular' R89. NO, you can't buy just the handle alone; they wanna leverage your interest to the last buck, so don't bother asking. Can't buy the handle alone. The lovely knurled chrome handle is ~0.6" (14.5mm) thick, with a 4.2" (107mm) overall length and a weight of 2.8 oz (80 grams). This is a 3-piece razor, instead of a 2-piece like the Merkur #38s, so changing the blade's marginally more involved but still quite easy. It comes in a paper box and delivered with a Derby blade. If you've wanted a simple safety, wanted Mühle's best-commercial-outfit-on-the-earth chrome plating standards, but have big hands, go ahead and spend the extra beans and get a "Grande". |
