Golddachs Titan 762241140 Razor
The Golddachs Titan razor is a ~Solingen recreation of a classic twist-to-open "butterfly" design, with perfectly ever-so-slightly-to-the-mild-side-of-medium aggression. The piece is slightly unique to Golddachs; many other Solingen and Chinese made TTO razors are sold under many other brands, but at the time of this writing Golddachs' unit is unique with its particular combination of shorter ~3.2" (~81mm) handle length and delicious cold-hued plating, sort of a gunmetal gray; we firmly believe that the razor is first produced in China and then the rhodium plating is done in Solingen. As a mild shaver, this is much the same as the Chinese-labelled versions (all of which are 'loving recreations' of classic Gillette early-1950s TTOs), but the rhodium does make this razor smoother physically. To be honest, the very inexpensive wholly-Chinese ones aren't half bad, they're just a bit permanently too mild (as this one!) and with rougher combs (the comb smoothness here is definitely its best 'feature'). Twist-to-open butterflies are nice and all, but for pure shaving for the money, we find the Focus Dynamic worlds apart due its combined mildness and closeness.
Weighs in at a moderate ~2.2 ounces (~62 grams), and comes with one double-edge razor blade made in Solingen and labeled as "TIMOR".
