"Basic Full Hollow w/ Rosewood!"
Rasoir Sabre's "Campiono (Rosewood)" (5CA122-ROEST) is a Solingen-forged, French-ground full hollow ground offering with the ~now-nearly-vaporware rosewood scales. Though it feature a true Spanish point like a few other premium Germans, there's enough subtle variances in the overall shape to indicate it isn't the same 'blank' as any of the German makers' models we carry currently. Perhaps they've resurrected an old offering from the forge, or bought out some old forgings... in any event, it is nonetheless the exact same 115crv3 (aka 1.2210) carbon steel from the same Solingen drop forge as all of our German makers. In this case, it is German-forged, and French-ground/tempered/honed/assembled. ~69mm cutting edge. ~4.54mm thick tang, with deeply sculpted file jimps. ~4.97mm thick spine with ~16.44mm edge-to-grind-line distance and ~17.4° cutting angle. Weighs approximately forty-one grams. This razor has a full satin/lustre finish and is supplied with a leather sheath.
This company (one with the temerity to engrave the grinder's given name to the tang, always a good sign in an artisan work) is absolutely adamant that the razor is dispatched from them already "Shave Ready", that glorious term of fools without the mind of science to discern the subjective from the objective. As such,we will not further hone this brand unless you instruct us specifically to do so. I, the owner here, have not yet shaved with one of these, but I have stropped one and tested it versus my arm hairs, in the same exact manner in which I do every razor we sell and further hone here in our shop; the razor I tested was clearly cutting my arm hair at a tremendous distance from the skin plane, well in excess of 2mm and likely 3mm or more, which is much better than I do after honing over 20000 razors from Germany and France over the last nine years of business operation using Belgian coticule stones almost all of the time.
